Türkiye hotel supply in 2026: openings and planned capacity
According to press reports, 170 hotels and 48,623 beds are targeted for 2026, with 44 properties opened in the first half. For an investor, the key task is to separate opened stock from planned capacity.

The hotel calendar reported for Türkiye in 2026 shows where and when supply is expected to grow. According to a Ticarigm360 report dated 22 July 2026, based on research by Turizm Proje Dergisi, 170 hotels and 48,623 beds are projected by year end. The figures in this article are given as reported; we have not independently verified the underlying research.
Opened stock and planned capacity
The distinction made in the report matters to an investor. In the first half of the year, 44 hotels and 16,768 beds opened, and these can be read as operating stock. For the second half, 126 hotels and 31,855 beds are planned. These properties are not yet operating, and financing, construction, licensing and staffing can shift the timetable. The report notes that 15 projects have slipped to 2027.
Distribution by city
In Istanbul, 12 properties opened in the first half and 22 are planned for the second, a possible annual total of 34. In Antalya, 10 opened and 14 are planned, a possible total of 24. In İzmir, 10 new hotels are expected in the second half. The figures suggest that new supply is concentrated in the major city and Mediterranean markets.
Notes for investors
New supply can affect pricing and occupancy in its market, and that effect should be assessed market by market before investing. Where timetables can slip, the revenue history of an operating hotel offers a more measurable basis than an asset still in the development pipeline. Comparing acquisition, repositioning and lease options requires reading current stock and pipeline information together.
